Lowepro X Red Bull Photofiles - Pelican Case

Every time I see this little note that says ‘parcel at desk’ I get a giant shot of dopamine to the head. Especially when the contents are this nice.

Blueprint ended off their 12-year anniversary with Calvin Harris playing to a sold-out Sunday crowd in Vancouver.

For the month of September, Red Bull brought in Vancouver-based artist Cedric Bomford to construct an installation at the Red Bull 381 Projects gallery space in Toronto. But I wouldn’t really call it an installation as much as a total, incredible transformation of the space. I’m a big fan.
Vancouver peeps would recognize Cedric’s work from the How Soon is Now exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery earlier this year. So hit that jump and check out the newest work from this Emily Carr and recent Malmö Konsthogskolan graduate who is definitely on the come up.

Blueprint turned 12; and they brought in MSTRKRFT and Steve Aoki to celebrate at the Commodore. Hit that juuump to see them pics

yea i gots a ihardlyknowher account too. flickr just took on a new life.
If you set one up, send me yours!!

Hello again!!!
Sorreh for not updating in a long time. Have been real busy shooting tons and moving houses. Will get round to posting backlogged photos soon. There’s a bunch of stuff that hasn’t been edited, so expect some new shots in those blog posts too.
PS: If for now you would like to see a selection of images from the Flying Lotus tour, hit up this post on booooooom. Many thanks to Jeff for that! Also, My Man Henri posted up a comprehensive journal of the tour with my photos which you can check out here.
Anyway, I’m currently in the UK where I’ll be situated for the next month. Here are some photos from my first couple days in London, all taken on a newly acquired Canon SD780 point and shoot which is an amazing little camera. I recommend it highly.
Click on a picture if you want to see it bigger (only really applies to the horizontal ones).

Flying Lotus - Red Bull Music Academy, Canada Tour
Sorry for the lack of updates, currently documenting the RBMA FlyLo tour. It’s been amazing so far. We’ve torn through Victoria and Whistler and I’m right now sitting in the Vancouver Airport (yyyeeesss iinntteerrnneett) with My Man Henri who’s been killing it this trip.
We’re hitting Calgary tonight, then on subsequent nights, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and polishing it all off in Vancouver on Sunday. Photos to come soon, but for now you can check out a few shots from the first stop on Henri’s blog.

In the summer of 2007, I had the opportunity and honour to photograph British graf legend SheOne during his visit to Vancouver with Addict Clothing.
While compiling this recent post on WeMineDeeper, I got curious about the series from his visit two years ago and decided to upload those photos here. Was going to re-edit a few of them, but thought it more interesting to leave them be (a bit like pixel time capsules maybe?).
Oo and for those wondering, the space above is The Modern in Vancouver as it was being constructed.

The 13th (and possibly last) edition of Dubforms in Vancouver, by Lighta! Sound + New Forms Festival 30 May 2009. Was a packed lineup with Appleblim, Long Walk Short Dock, The Librarian, Taal Mala, Glitchy and Scratchy, Dubnostic, and visual installations by Vasho Pekar.
Check out the album here (and click here for the above photo).
zonk!

Back from the road/air for a couple weeks! Phew. Pictures from the Macneil BMX tour soon.
For now, here are photos from Canadian band Fritz Helder & The Phantoms performing at the Red Bull 381 Projects gallery space in Toronto last month. Fritz are a glamrock band who are the first signing to Nelly Furtado’s new label Nelstar.
The photos document the band’s rehearsal, their backstage preparations before the show, and their performance.
Really enjoy shooting backstage, so having the light and haze to work with was a treat.
